Entering this course the most technology I ever used was powerpoint, if I used that. It was mainly because I used what I knew and never looked for any other ways to use technology. Now that I am nearing the completion of this course my comfort level with technology and how to look for ways to use more technology has increased substantially. I feel that most chose not to use technology resource available because they are not comfortable using, but technology is meant to make it easier and more appealing to students. So my advice to any one that is apprehensive to use technology is to look into it with an open mind. You will be surprised at how easy it can be to adapt to it.

SoftChalk was one of the programs that I plan to continue to use. By enrollment in the course, I received a softchalk license. Softchalk is user friendly and was not over difficult to navigate for the first time. The tools to incorporate retention check questions and games makes material more engaging then just having a student read from text. SoftChalk will be one of the programs that I will continue to use after completing this course. It is also a program, I think my future students will appreciate me using as well and benefit them in learning new material.
I have made it to the end of the semester of ED 510. Looking back I have been exposed to many new programs that I would have never discovered without being in this course. These programs have already began to assist me in course material delivery. The programs that have helped me the most are the ones that have helped me to increase the eye appeal of my lessons and how to avoid "death by powerpoint". I have shared many of these programs with my colleagues as well who had no idea some of these programs exist and the best part is most of them are free.
